در گیلان آیینی وجود دارد به نام بنواز. اگر گاو و گوسفند و بز (ریزَ مال) کسی را سیل می‌برد، یا بر اثر بیماری و حادثه‌ای می‌مردند، دیگر دامداران آن آبادی، به شکرانه‌ی دارندگی و سلامت، به‌نسبت توانایی، آن‌قدر گاو و گوسفند به او می‌بخشیدند یا قرض می‌دادند که بتواند چرخ زندگی خانواده‌اش را بگرداند. نتایج این چند سر مال، حق مشترک طرفین است و این نسبت را «نیماکه» گویند.
In Gilan (Northern Iran), there is a tradition called Bonavaz.If someone’s cattle—such as cows, sheep, or goats (rizeh māl, meaning small livestock)—were lost due to a flood, disease, or accident, the other herders of the village, out of gratitude for their own prosperity and the health of their herds, would donate or lend enough cows and sheep according to their ability, so that the affected family could sustain their livelihood.The offspring or yield from these animals would be considered a shared right between both parties, and this arrangement is called Nimākeh.
