اِسپَنوی ندیمهٔ تژاو، سردار تورانی، بود.
در ابتدای داستان فرود سیاوش، کیخسرو پیش از لشکرکشی به توران، برای آن کسی که اسپنوی را به اسارت به ایران بیاورد، پاداش تعیین کرد و بیژن این مسئولیت را بر عهده گرفت.
وقتی لشکر ایران با تژاو روبرو شد، در کار لشکر تژاو شکست افتاد. پس، او عقبنشینی کرد تا به افراسیاب خبر هجوم لشکر ایران را برساند. تژاو، در راه، به دژ گروگرد رسید و اسپنوی را پشت خود سوار کرد و به فرار ادامه داد اما چون دید سرعتش کم است اسپنوی را پیاده کرد. بیژن که به تعقیب تژاو آمدهبود در مسیر با اسپنوی روبرو شد و او را به اسیری گرفت و با خود به لشکر ایران آورد.

Espanouy was Tajav's (The Turanian warlord) servant.
At the beginning of the story of Foroud, son of Siavash, before marching to Turan, Kaykhosrow set a bounty on Espanouy and a reward for anyone who could hold her captive, and bring her to Iran. Giv took on this responsibility.
Once the Iranian army met with Tajav's, he got defeated. So he retreated to give Afrasiab the news of Iran's attack. In his way, he arrived at Gorougerd fort, and took Espanouy on his own horse. But after a while, once he realized that the horse was unable to carry both of them, he left Espanouy behind. They were being followed by Bizhan, who then held Espanouy captive, and took her to the Iranian camp.
