کیومرث اولین شاه جهانه و اولین شخصیت شاهنامه‌است. وقتی تاجگذاری می‌کنه کاخش رو بالای کوه بنا می‌کنه و پلنگینه می‌پوشه. بعد از مدتی پسر اهریمن به جنگ کیومرث می‌آد که سیامک، پسر کیومرث، در این درگیری کشته می‌شه . کیومرث یک سال به عزا می‌شینه و لباس فیروزه رنگ به تن می‌کنه. بعد از اون کیومرث به کمک پسر سیامک، هوشنگ، لشکری از پری و شیر و پلنگ و ببر و گرگ تشکیل می‌ده و انتقام خون پسرش رو می‌گیره ولی خودش هم طی این مبارزه کشته می‌شه.
*این روایت از کیومرث بر اساس شاهنامه‌ی فردوسی است و با تعاریفی که از کیومرث در اساطیرایران شده تفاوت دارد

Keyumars is the first king of the world. He is the first character of "The Book of Kings" as well. When he was crowned as the king, he built his castle at the top of a mountain and wore a panther's skin. Some time passed...Ahriman's son came to battle against Keyumars. Siamak, who is Keyumars' son, was killed in the battle against Ahriman. Keyum’s mourned and wore a cyan garment for a year. Then, Keyumars, with the help of Hushang(Siamak's son), gathered an army of fairies, lions, panthers, tigers and wolves. He avenged his son's death and passed away after this revenge.

سر بخت و تختش بر آمد به کوه
پلنگینه پوشید خود با گروه

دو چشم ابر خونین و رخ بادرنگ

ز درّندگان گرگ و ببر دلیر
سپاهی دد و دام و مرغ و پری
سپهدار با گیر و کنداوری
Atop of mountain, he put his kingly crown
Panther's fur he wore, alongside his crowd
head to toe, he was in cyan
Eyes weeping, face drawn
Fairy and beasts became his troop
Wild wolves and tigers, formed a group
An army of animals, an unquiet crowd
Their leader swelled, and quite proud
