Story of Eran Graphic Novel Series

from US$14.99

For millennia, Iranians have told the story of their origins: when the first humans were born from the rhubarb plant, how their sons and daughters tamed fire and shaped the earth, and where heroes rose and fell in battles of light and shadow. This graphic novel series brings those stories to life in a completely new way.

Based on ancient Zoroastrian texts such as the Avesta and the Bundaheshn, alongside Ferdowsi’s immortal Shahnameh, these books retell the saga of Iran from the first moment of creation to the twilight of the Sasanian Empire. Historically grounded and colorfully illustrated, the series is designed for Iranians in the diaspora, lovers of myth and history, and anyone curious about the epic foundations of Persian identity.

Book I: The Creation and the First Mortals (coming soon)

This episode reimagines the Zoroastrian myth of the world’s beginning: the cosmic battle between good and evil and the rise of the first humans.

Book II: The Founders

This saga follows the wise kings of the early dynasties: Hushang who discovered fire, Tahmures who tamed the demons, and radiant Yima, who ushered in a golden age.

Book III: The Dark Millennium

Darkness falls as a tyrant rises. This book chronicles the long night of Zahhak and the fire of resistance that kindles in the hearts of the people.

Origins of the Project:

This series grew out of a longing to preserve and reimagine the foundational myths of Iran in a way that is visually engaging and culturally accurate.

Working with scholars, we’ve taken great care to ensure that every line and illustration reflects the richness of Iranian myth and culture.
