در روستای گودین، از توابع شهرستان کنگاور در استان کرمانشاه، رسم جالبی برای طلب باران از آسمان وجود دارد. کودکان و جوانان در روزهای کم‌باران سال، برای طلب باران از آسمان، دور هم جمع می‌شوند و مترسکی با نام چمچلیکو می‌سازند، لباس به تنش می‌کنند و در حالی که شعر زیر را می‌خوانند، مترسک را دور روستا می‌چرخانند:چمچلیکو چه می‌خواد؟، از خدا بارو می‌خوادبه هر خانه‌ای هم که می‌رسند در می‌زنند و صاحب‌خانه باید پول، برنج، قند یا هر هدیه‌ای که در توانش است به فرد مسئول جمع‌آوری نذری بدهد. بعد از چرخیدن در تمام روستا، تمام نذری‌ها بین افراد نیازمند تقسیم می‌شود و همه در انتظار باران می‌نشینند.به گفته‌ی راوی، در سال ۱۳۷۷، که خودش در مراسم شرکت داشته است، غروب همان روزی که چمچلیکو را دور روستا چرخاندند، آسمان شروع به باریدن کرد.
In Gowdin, located in the Kermanshah province (western Iran), there's a charming old ritual for calling rain from the sky. During dry seasons, children and young people gather together to perform a special rain-calling ceremony.They craft a scarecrow-like doll known as Chamchliku, dress it up, and walk it around the village while singing a traditional rhyme, which is literally translated to:"What does Chamchliku want?It wants rain from God!"As they pass by each home, they knock on doors. The residents of the house open the door and offer whatever they can—money, rice, sugar, or any other gift—as a kind of votive offering. These offerings are collected by one of the participants.Once Chamchiliku has been taken through the entire village, the collected offerings are distributed among those in need. And then, the whole community waits for the rain.According to a local who participated in the ceremony in 1998, the very evening they walked Chamchliku through the village, the sky opened up and it began to rain.
