کیومرث نخستین پادشاه جهان بود که سی سال بر هفت کشور پادشاهی کرد. او و همراهانش پلنگینه می پوشیدند و در کوه زندگی می کردند. در زمان پادشاهی کیومرث پسر اهریمن به هفت کشور حمله کرد و سیامک، پسر کیومرث، در این درگیری کشته شد. پس از آن کیومرث یک سال به عزا نشست و لباس فیروزه رنگ به تن کرد. سپس کیومرث به کمک پسر سیامک، هوشنگ، لشکری از پری و شیر و پلنگ و ببر و گرگ تشکیل داد و انتقام خون پسرش را گرفت و پس از اندکی درگذشت.
Keyumars was the first king of the world and ruled over the seven regions for thirty years. He and his companions wore leopard skins and lived in the mountains. During his reign, the son of Ahriman attacked the seven regions, leading to a battle in which Kayumars’ son, Siamak, was slain.
After this tragedy, Keyumars mourned for a year, wearing a turquoise-colored garment. Eventually, he gathered an army of fairies, lions, leopards, tigers, and wolves with the help of Siamak’s son, Hushang, and avenged his son’s blood. Shortly thereafter, Keyumars passed away.
