جمشید، فرزند تهمورث دیوبند، پس از درگذشت پدر بر تخت سلطنت نشست و به مدت هفتصد سال حکومت کرد. او صاحب **فَرّه ایزدی** بود و در پنجاه سال نخست زمامداری خود، ساخت و توسعه ابزارآلات جنگی را گسترش داد؛ در این دوره، زره، کلاه‌خود و شمشیر ساخته شد. در پنجاه سال دوم، صنعت بافندگی رونق یافت و پارچه‌هایی از جنس کتان، ابریشم و خز تولید شد که به پوشاک مردم آن دوران تبدیل گردید.
در پنجاه سال سوم، جمشید جامعه را به چهار گروه دسته‌بندی کرد. گروه نخست، پرستندگان بودند که جایگاه آنان را در کوهستان تعیین کرد؛ گروه دوم، جنگاوران و سربازان بودند؛ گروه سوم را کشاورزان تشکیل می‌دادند که از هفت دنیا آزاد بودند و حاصل دست‌رنج خویش را مصرف می‌کردند؛ و در نهایت، گروه چهارم شامل صنعت‌گران و آهنگران بود.
سپس فرمان داد که دیوان خاک را با آب بیامیزند و از آن **خشت** بسازند. پس از آن، دیوان از سنگ و گچ دیوارهایی بنا کردند. همچنین، جواهرات گران‌بهایی نظیر یاقوت، بیجاده، طلا و نقره از دل سنگ استخراج شد. در ادامه، مواد معطری همچون مشک، عنبر و کافور کشف گردید و دانش پزشکی پیشرفت کرد. در نهایت، صنعت کشتی‌سازی به ذهن بشر راه یافت و زمینه‌ای برای تسریع رفت‌وآمد میان کشورها فراهم شد. بدین ترتیب، پنجاه سال دیگر نیز سپری شد.
هنگامی که این پیشرفت‌ها به اوج خود رسید، جمشید فرمان داد تختی جواهرنشان برای وی بسازند و سپس دستور داد دیوان تخت را به آسمان بلند کنند. او در میان آسمان همچون خورشیدی درخشید و جهانیان را به حیرت فرو برد. به پاس این رویداد باشکوه، آن روز را **روز نو** نامیدند و جشن نوروز، که امروزه گرامی داشته می‌شود، از همین واقعه ریشه گرفت.
سیصد سال از حکومت جمشید گذشت و در این مدت، هیچ مرگ یا اتفاق ناگواری رخ نداد و دیوان همچنان مطیع انسان‌ها بودند. اما روزی که جمشید بر تخت نشسته بود، پنداشت که هیچ‌کس در عظمت و قدرت به پای او نمی‌رسد. غرور بر وی مستولی شد و دیگر بندگی خدا را به‌جا نیاورد، بلکه ادعای خدایی کرد. در همین زمان، **فَرّه ایزدی** را از دست داد و سرانجام، کار او به شکست انجامید و سرنوشتش دگرگون شد.
Jamshid, the son of Tahmoures the Demon-binder, ascended the throne after his father’s passing and ruled for seven hundred years. He possessed **Farreh Izadi**, the divine glory, and spent the first fifty years of his reign advancing warfare technology, during which armor, helmets, and swords were created. In the next fifty years, weaving flourished, producing textiles such as linen, silk, and fur, which became the clothing of the people.
During the third fifty-year period, Jamshid divided society into four classes: the first group consisted of worshippers, whom he settled in the mountains; the second group comprised warriors and soldiers; the third group was made up of farmers who lived freely and reaped the rewards of their labor; and the fourth group consisted of artisans and blacksmiths.
He then commanded the demons to mix earth and water to form **bricks**, from which they later built walls using stone and plaster. Precious gems such as rubies, jade, gold, and silver were extracted from the rocks. Furthermore, fragrant substances like musk, amber, and camphor were discovered, and medical knowledge advanced. Eventually, the concept of shipbuilding emerged, facilitating trade and travel between nations. Thus, another fifty years passed.
When these advancements reached their peak, Jamshid ordered a jeweled throne to be made and commanded the demons to lift it into the sky. He shone like the sun above the world, astonishing mankind. To commemorate this event, the day was named **Nowruz**, marking the beginning of the Persian New Year, a festival still celebrated today.
Three hundred years of Jamshid’s reign passed without death or calamity, and the demons remained subservient to humans. However, one day, as he sat upon his throne, he believed that none could match his greatness and power. Pride overtook him, and he ceased to worship God, instead proclaiming himself divine. At that moment, he lost **Farreh Izadi**, his divine glory, and ultimately met his downfall, changing his fate forever.
