برنه یا برته یکی از پهلوانان ایران از خاندان نوایه بود که در جنگ‌های پادشاهی کیخسرو از سالاران لشکر ایران بود.

نام این شخصیت نخستین بار در داستان عرض کردن کیخسرو به میان می‌آید. او در این داستان سالار لشکر خاندان نوایه است.

برنه در جنگ پشن و لاون که در داستان فرود سیاوخش رخ می‌دهد نیز در شمار سالاران ایران است.

برنه در رخ دهم از یازده رخ با کهرم تورانی نبرد می‌کند و او را از میان برمی‌دارد.

Barneh, or Barteh, is one of the champions of Iran from the lineage of Navayeh. He stood as a commander of the Iranian army during the wars of King Kaykhosrow.

This character's name first emerges in the tale of Kaykhosrow's proclamation. In this narrative, he is the commander of the Navayeh clan's forces.

Barneh also ranks among the commanders of Iran in the battle against Pashan and Laavan, which unfolds in the tale of Foroud.

In the tenth Rokh of the eleven Rokh, he engages in battle with Kahram of Turan and vanquishes him.
