فرشیدورد گشتاسپ شاهزادهی ایرانی بود که در جنگ دوم ارجاسپ با گشتاسپ در آوردگاه زخمی شد و در آغوش اسفندیار جان داد.
پس از جنگ اول ارجاسپ با گشتاسپ زمانی که گُرزَم گشتاسپ را نسبت به اسفندیار بدگمان کرد، پادشاه ایران رویینتن را در دژ گنبدان در بند کرد. ارجاسپ با آگاهی از این اتفاق به ایران یورش برد و در حالی که گشتاسپ در سیستان بود لهراسپ را در بلخ کشت و دختران گشتاسپ را به اسارت برد.
سپس گشتاسپ به مقابله پرداخت و سمت چپ لشکر را به بستور و سمت راست را به فرشیدورد داد. در طی جنگ بخت با ایران یار نبود. فرشیدورد به شدت زخمی شد و گشتاسپ به کوهی پناه برد و ارجاسپ آن را محاصره کرد. جاماسپ وزیر به دژ گنبدان آمد و ابتدا از کشته شدن لهراسپ گفت و محاصره شدن گشتاسپ و اسارت همای و بهآفرید اما هیچکدام باعث نشد که اسفندیار تصمیم به همراهی سپاه گشتاسپ کند تا اینکه جاماسپ او را از حال فرشیدورد آگاه کرد.
اسفندیار با شنیدن آن خبر تصمیم گرفت به آوردگاه آید. پس بر اسب تاخت و به سراغ فرشیدورد آمد و گریان او را در آغوش گرفت. فرشیدورد پس از اندکی در دستان اسفندیار جان داد.

Farshavard was a noble Persian prince, valiant in pursuit of honor and justice. During the fierce second confrontation between Arjaasp and Goshtasp, he sustained grievous wounds on the battlefield and breathed his last in the embrace of the mighty Esfandiyar.
After the initial clash between Arjaasp and Goshtasp, when Gorzam cast a shadow of doubt upon Goshtasp regarding Esfandiyar, the indomitable king of Iran found himself imprisoned within the mighty walls of Gonbadaan Fort. Aware of this betrayal, Arjaasp surged forth against the land, slaying Lohraasp in Balkh while Goshtasp was away in Sistan, capturing the daughters of Goshtasp and taking them as spoils.
In retaliation, Goshtasp rallied his forces; entrusted the left flank to Bastur and the right to Farshavard. Yet, fate did not favor Iran in this battle. Farshavard was gravely wounded, compelling Goshtasp to seek refuge in the mountains, where Arjaasp besieged him. Jamaasp, the loyal minister, arrived at Gonbadaan Fort with dire tidings—he revealed the death of Lohraasp, the siege around Goshtasp, and the capture of Homay and Behafarid. Nevertheless, none of these calamities stirred Esfandiyar to accompany Goshtasp’s army until Jamaasp informed him of Farshavard's dire condition.
Upon hearing this fateful news, Esfandiyar resolved to join the fray. He mounted his steed, hastening to Farshavard’s side, and embraced him in tears. After a fleeting moment, Farshavard succumbed in the arms of Esfandiyar, leaving a heart-wrenching void in the hearts of all who knew him
