گرامی پسر جاماسپ وزیر بود که در جنگ گشتاسپ با ارجاسپ کشته شد.
در میانه‌ی نبرد پس از آنکه که شیدسپ به دست کُهرَم کشته شد گرامی که پیکری مانند رستم داشت به میدان آمد و با نامخواست تورانی نبرد کرد. از زور گرامی نامخواست عقب نشست. سپس، دو لشکر با هم جنگیدند و در آن میان درفش کاویانی به زمین افتاد. گرامی به سوی درفش شتافت و آن را به دست گرفت. تورانیان دست او را قطع کردند و او درفش را به دندان گرفت و با دست دیگر گرز به دست گرفت و به جنگیدن ادامه داد تا اینکه در آخر جان داد.

Gerami, son of Jamaasp, was a minister who fell in battle during the fierce confrontation between Goshtasp and Arjaasp. In the heart of combat, after Shidasp had met his end at the hands of Kohram, Gerami, his physique reminiscent of the mighty Rustam, strode into the fray and faced Namkhast, the noble warrior of Turan. The very force of Gerami forced Namkhast to retreat.

Then, the two armies clashed in a violent struggle, and in the midst of the chaos, the Kavehian banner fell to the ground. Gerami rushed towards the fallen banner, snatched it up with determination. However, the Turanians severed his hand, yet he clutched the banner between his teeth and seized a mace with his other hand, continuing to battle valiantly until he ultimately laid down his life in the noble fight.
