در الموت قزوین مراسم نوروزی به شکلی متفاوت برگزار می‌شود. به دلیل اینکه این منطقه در فروردین ماه همچنان برفی است و رفت‌وآمد در کوچه و خیابان سخت است، مردم سال نو را روی پشت بام‌هایی که از قبل پارو و آماده شده است، جشن می‌گیرند. این‌طور گفته شده که اغلب خانه‌ها از پشت بام به هم راه دارند و به همین دلیل برگزاری جشن نوروز در پشت‌ بام‌ها رسم شده است. در این جشن علاوه بر شادمانی برای رسیدن بهار، به اجرای رقص محلی مشغول می‌شوند و جوانان هم با کشتی گرفتن یک زورآزمایی جانانه انجام می‌دهند.

In Alamut, Qazvin (central Iran), the Nowruz celebrations are held in a unique way. Since the region is still snowy in Farvardin (March–April) and getting around the streets is difficult, people celebrate the New Year on rooftops that have been shoveled and prepared in advance. It is said that many houses are connected through their rooftops, which is why celebrating Nowruz on the roofs has become a tradition. During the celebration, in addition to celebrating the arrival of spring, people perform local dances, and the youth engage in spirited wrestling matches to showcase their strength.
