در آثارالباقیه آمده است ایرانیان باور دارند هر کس بامداد نوروز بعد از بیدارشدن و قبل از اینکه کلمه‌ای به زبان بیاورد سه قاشق عسل بخورد و سه تکه موم را هم دود کند، در طول سال از هر بیماری و دردی در امان می‌ماند.

In Al-Āthār al-Bāqiyah (The Remaining Signs of Past Centuries), it is mentioned that Iranians believe whoever, on the morning of Nowruz, after waking up and before uttering a single word, eats three spoonfuls of honey and burns three pieces of beeswax will be protected from all illnesses and pain throughout the year.
