بَستور پسر زریر پسر لهراسپ بود که در جنگ گشتاسپ با ارجاسپ حضور داشت و بسیاری از دشمنان ایران را کشت.
زمانی که لشکر گشتاسپ و ارجاسپ روبروی هم قرار گرفتند گشتاسپ پشت لشکر را به بستور سپرد و جنگی در گرفت که در آن بسیاری از ایرانیان کشته شدند. در این میان بستور یکی از تنها کسانی بود که شکار تیر دشمنان نشد.
پس از آنکه گرامی تا آخرین قطرهی خونش جنگید و جان داد، بستور به میدان آمد و بسیاری از تورانیان را کشت و به سوی پدرش زریر بازگشت.
پس از آنکه زریر کشته شد بستور گشتاسپ را از این واقعه آگاه کرد. پادشاه ایران ابتدا خود میخواست به آوردگاه رود اما جاماسپ وزیر از او خواست تا بستور را مامور این کار کند. پس، اسب خود شبرنگ بهزاد را به او داد و بستور به نزدیکی صف دشمن آمد و بیدرفش را فراخواند اما کسی پیش نیامد پس به صف تورانیان زد و بسیاری از آنان را کشت. از سوی دیگر اسفندیار هم به او اضافه شد و رودی از خون بر زمین جاری شد.
سپس بیدرفش به دستور ارجاسپ به آوردگاه آمد و با بستور درگیر شد، پس از آن اسفندیار به سوی بیدرفش شتافت و او را با همان تیغی که زریر با آن کشته شدهبود از میان برداشت.

Bastur was the son of Zarir, son of Lohraasp, who was present in the war between Goshtasp and Arjaasp and killed many of Iran's enemies.
When the armies of Goshtasp and Arjaasp faced each other, Goshtasp entrusted the rear of the army to Bastur. A battle broke out in which many Iranians were killed. Amidst this, Bastur was one of the only ones who did not fall prey to the enemy's arrows.
After Gerami fought to his last drop of blood and died, Bastur entered the field, killed many Turanians, and returned to his father, Zarir.
After Zarir was killed, Bastur informed Goshtasp of this event. The King of Iran initially wanted to go to the battlefield himself, but the vizier Jaamaasp asked him to assign this task to Bastur. Therefore, he gave him his own horse, Shabrang Behzad. Bastur approached the enemy line and called for Biderafsh, but no one came forward. He then charged the Turanian lines and killed many of them. On the other side, Esfandiyar also joined him, and a river of blood flowed on the ground.
Then, on Arjaasp's command, Biderafsh came to the battlefield and engaged with Bastur. After that, Esfandiyar rushed toward Biderafsh and struck him down with the same blade that had been used to kill Zarir.
