نیودار پسر گُشتاسپ بود که در جنگ با ارجاسپ کشته شد.
در جنگ گشتاسپ با ارجاسپ پس از آنکه بستور پسر زریر به میدان رفت و بسیاری از دشمنان را کشت، نیودار گشتاسپ سوار بر اسبی تیزرو به آوردگاه آمد و هماورد خواست. دشمنان به سوی او تاختند و نیودار شصت نفر از آنها را از میان برد اما در نهایت تیری به او خورد و از اسب فروافتاد و جان داد.

Nivdar was the son of Goshtasp, who fell in battle against Arjaasp.
In the war between Goshtasp and Arjaasp, after Bastur, son of Zarir, had entered the fray and slain many foes, Nivdar, mounted on a swift steed, arrived at the battleground seeking a worthy challenger. The enemies charged at him, and Nivdar vanquished sixty of them, yet in the end, he was struck by an arrow, fell from his horse, and met his fate.
